ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kang Hoovin is a South Korea born and Thailand raised artist. She combines elements of the arts to form vivid sounding paintings and installations. Her body of work contains visual interpretation of musical elements and abstraction of instrumental forms, portraying themes of harmony and individuality that reflect qualities within human relationships. The artist’s inspiration is majorly derived from spontaneous order of nature.

Kang studied Fine Arts along with Biology and Chemistry at Anderson University, Indiana. She currently resides in South Korea as a freelance artist, navigating both traditional and digital mediums.

On her down time, Kang makes miniature figures depicting  daily-life scenes of traditional Korea for her mom, paints her brother's French Bulldog, and makes water color studies of plants that are grown in her parent's garden.
